Happy Late Easter!

Hi everybody!

I just thought I would do a quick post while I work on making supper (and since I haven't done one in a while)!  Unfortunately not a whole lot has been going on other than the normal school and work happenings.  School is getting a lot more intense now that we're at the final 2 week mark (YAY)!  And Katelyn and I have been working quite a lot of hours at Hy-Vee and it seems like I've basically been living at the movie theater on the weekends.

Since I chose to work over Easter weekend instead of making the trek back to Iowa, I decided to make some Easter cookies for my movie theater coworkers!  They turned out pretty good and were such a success on Friday night that I decided to make more on Saturday and take them for my Easter coworkers that were also working on Easter!  I tried a new icing recipe and everyone that goes to Quentin's graduation party will be able to try it! :)

I better get back to browning the hamburger so I'll leave you with a picture of the yummy cookies that I created! :)

Have a great week!

Puzzle Update!

Hi everybody!

I've been really busy this past week, but I wanted to share with everybody our finished puzzle wall art!  We actually finished this one 2 weeks ago, but we've been so busy that we are just now getting it hung up on the wall!  It was a super hard puzzle, but we finished it in just 3 days (we spent all of our free time doing it)!

We also did this puzzle right after we finished the cupcake puzzle!  This one was a bit more difficult, but we finished this one in 2 days! We are officially addicted to puzzles and have started buying the $1 puzzles at the Dollar Tree here in Brookings.  I feel like some people might think we're actually 80 years old rather than 20, but working on puzzles is supposed to keep your brain healthy so we really don't care what other people think.  Since we are getting a nice puzzle collection, we decided that the puzzles that we get at the Dollar Tree will be donated to the Goodwill here in Brookings so other people can enjoy them!  I hope everybody is having a great week! :)

Making our home homey!

Hi everybody!

I thought I would show everybody what we've been up to these past couple days!  As you all know we live in an apartment, it's a great apartment, but the walls are so bland and white!  We decided to start making the living room and kitchen more homey because we've officially been living here for 2.5 months now and it still looks like we just moved in!

The first part of decorating that we did was making (Katelyn actually made them!) these cork and fabric wall decorations!  She said that they were pretty easy to make and they are really thin so they stay up on the wall really well with the help of that sticky tack stuff!  Plus they add some color to our walls, finally!

Next, we decided to get one of those wall decals to put on the wall above the TV.  We found this one at Walmart!  It wasn't too difficult to put on the wall, but it took us a while to piece it together before we put it on the actual wall (it came in 50ish pieces that weren't in any certain order)!

Lastly, we decided one night this week that the wall above our kitchen table is really plain and boring, so we went to Walmart and bought a colorful 1000 piece puzzle to put together, glue, and hang on the wall!  It's going to look pretty cool when we get it done!  Here's a picture of our progress (we started Wednesday night)!

That's what we've been up to this week! It's a long weekend this weekend because of Veterans Day, so I'm probably going to just be doing homework and working on the puzzle!  There's also the last home SDSU football game this Saturday, so I'll either go to the game or just watch it on TV where it's nice and warm!  Have a great weekend everybody! :)
